To all my blog readers, I currently have a job available with my consulting company for a Student Web Developer, 2 days per week, one at my office and one (which could be two half days) at their own residence.

Real World Technology Solutions, a leading Sydney based PHP and MacOSX development and consultancy company, is seeking to employ a student developer for two days per week.

You will gain experience working in a team environment, develop skills in creating applications in PHP, C++, Objective C and JavaScript and have opportunities to work on real, large scale commercial projects.

A successful application will demonstrate that they:
  • are enrolled in a computer science or information systems degree and have completed at least one year of study with good results
  • have exposure to web development in a scripting language
  • have some basic knowledge of Unix/Linux/BSD systems
  • have a basic understanding of the MVC development paradigm
  • have a demonstrated creative approach in their programming
  • have a basic knowledge of HTML, XHTML, DOM and JavaScript
  • are eager and able to learn and willing to experiment to solve problems
  • are capable of working in a team environment
  • have excellent oral and written communication skills

This position will require you to work one day a week from our office in Cherrybrook as well as either two half days or one full day from home. Pay is negotiable depending on qualifications and/or past experience.
