It's been a long night... PDF Print E-mail

It's been a long night... well - it's been a long few days really. From aeroplanes being cancelled, to succesfully getting my first .edu.au domain, to looking at getting some return consulting business and finally making some headway on my new implementation of merchant facilities, to sound and lighting for a musical evening - not to mention just life... wow...

So for those of you who don't know, my mother and sister flew to Northern Ireland last weekend, albeit about 24 hours late because their first flight was cancelled due to mecanical failure. The ended up flying out on Saturday around 12:30/1:00. They have landed safely, but I'm yet to hear from them. Maybe I could message Jen... maybe then she'd talk to me :-)

(PS - If you're reading this jen, please do talk to me!)

Musical Evening was fun. I didn't do as good a job of sound as I would have liked, and lighting was a bit average -  but hey, I'm a perfectionist. There is always next year.

Mike's up from Canberra for a few days doing a bit of office work. Our accounts are taking more shape again now, which is nice - especially for the end of financial year and all. We might even become an Apple reseller in the next week or so.

One of my clients has expressed an interest in working with me again on a new consulting project. That will be exciting if it all happens - a bit of extra cash for Bess & I, and a fun project to work on. Will have to wait and see...

... and speaking of consulting - it looks like I might be doing some writing for a new Mac tips e-zine that a friend may be starting. That could be fun too.

Tonight has been a mad rush getting stuff ready before assembly. I've been battling with the merchant implementation in Ministry Centre. To date it has worked, but it is very buggy and there is no user feedback when things go wrong. I've finally got the merchant backend going tonight, so now someone can be billed. If only it were that easy. Now I just need to ensure invoices are generated, subscriptions are processed and everything is sold.... oh... and there is this small annoying matter of give-away subscriptions that I need to have working for tomorrow. Hmm... oh well... let's get six hours sleep (10am) and then get back into again then. Hopefully it will all come together... quickly!

I got MYOB working with two workstations today. That might mean some increased productivity for us. Hopefully anyway...

Oh - and metro.edu.au will soon contain information about PCNSW's metro program.

Entertainment Installations is getting some Mac 700's at the end of this week. I can't wait to play.

Life with God has it's ups and downs. Coming out of college, winter camp and preaching has meant that I have probably spent about 0 time actually working on my Christian life. Big priority for this week and my week off next week. If you have read this far, pray for me as I do this. I think that's a pretty generic summary of my life over the last few days/weeks. I know I've been a bit vague, but it is 4am, and I thought I should just give a bit of a general update on where my life is at! :-)
