It rained today. Lots. We have gutters on our house. They were very full. We also have ground level drains. They were also very full. We also have White Tail and Red Back spiders.
So... I'm standing up the top of a step ladder, hand into a gutter... pitch black... rain pouring down around me... or shoving my hand into a ground level gutter, removing months of dirt, leaves and twigs from the gutter so that the water can drain through to the drain. It's amazing how little dirt you need to remove to make a substantive difference to the flow of water through to the drain. It's also amazing how when you remove this dirt and you let the water flow, as soon as the rain quietens down a little bit the water flows right out, and the drains look pretty empty. ... oh - and there is this game of tag going on. I figure I'm going to take it up a notch. I tag: - Jennifer
